The book is in good antique/vintage condition. The cover shows light shelf wear consistent with age, and the tie-string binding remains functional. The wooden dowels have pushed through in the back however, the string remains attached to all the pages keeping it intact. The internal pages have a beautiful natural amber patina. The specimens are fragile and delicate due to age, therefore some have broken lose from the tape and shifted and possibly a couple missing (a couple lay lose in the front in the index part of the book) however a majority remain securely mounted to the pages alongside clean, neat handwritten ink notation.
