Antique Early 20th Century Sanford's Ink and Pastes Crock, 1 Gal., c. 1910-20 For Sale

This SANFORD'S INK AND PASTES ONE GALLON CROCK, has SANFORD'S in ONE INCH+ letters (on the first line), INKS The Dependable Line PASTES (on the second line), and ILLEGAL TO REFILL THIS JAR FOR RESALE, on the third line, done in cobalt blue. Based on my research, the crock was probably made for Sanford's by either RED WING UNION STONEWARE CO or WESTERN STONEWARE COMPANY. The WIRE WITH LID CLAMP is on the crock, but the lid is missing. The Crock is in remarkably good shape with the exception of a 1 1/2 inch hairlline, manifesting on the inside of the crock, but much harder to see on the outside, at a glance. The last 3 photos are different angles of the hairline. The crock WEIGHS SLIGHLY OVER 5 LBS. This open top crock is a perfect size as a spatual and wooden spoon holder. Replace the ordinary with a real character antique.
