NOTE: This item is dark blue stone like color but said color shows up black in my pictures.
Years ago, State Mutual Life Assurance Company based in Worcester Massachusetts owned The Hanover Insurance Company and Citizens Insurance. With the arrival of a new CEO who came from Boston based Fidelity, State Mutual was converted into a public Company named Allmerica Financial. Over time, Citizens Insurance based in Michigan. was rolled into Allmerica based in Worcester. Ergo, this plaque. I believe, but do not quote me, that Allmerica Financial and Citizens were swallowed up by The Hanover Group also located in Worcester Massachusetts and THG is alive and well to this day.
The plaque is 9 inches by 12 inches and about 1/2 inch thick. It is made out of acrylic or similar composite material. It has a reflective, deep blue, stone like finish with white lettering. Overall it is in very nice condition with sharp corners, sharp edges and does have two surface scratches (one through the logo and one beneath FINANCIAL). This wall plaque represents a long lineage of Insurance dating back to about 1848. It is a collectible historical piece.
One of a kind. I have no way of replacing this plaque. So for your protection and mine, it will ship to a US address via USPS Priority Mail with Tracking, Insurance and will require adult signature delivery confirmation.
