No publisher listed on title page but this - New Orleans: 1874. "A highly reliable, even-tempered account of the war in Virginia by a member of the famed Washington Artillery; especially good for camp scenes" - Nevins. This work was later expanded and issued in 1875 as "Military Record of Louisiana." Virtually two books in one, the first is the Soldier's Story then pages are renumbered for a Louisiana Adjutant Generals report of state troops and a series of short stories/remembrances finish the book. An important and scarce journal of military life during the Civil War.
