We have meticulously washed, cleaned, and sorted our inventory into four distinct size tiers to ensure you get exactly what you need for your equipment:
Small (1" – 2.5"): Ideal for rock tumblers, small cabochons, or high-volume classroom "break-your-own" kits. Approximately 12-18 specimens included.
Medium (2.5"–4"): The versatile standard for hand-splitting or small trim saws. Approximately 4-7 specimens included.
Large (4"–8"): Premium lapidary rough. These heavy nodules are perfect for slabbing on 10"+ saws to reveal large-scale banding and crystal structures. Approximately 1-2 specimens included.
Safety Protocol & Lapidary Best Practices
Your safety is our priority. When opening these specimens, always wear ANSI-approved safety goggles. If you are hand-splitting, we highly recommend the "Sock Method": place the specimen inside a heavy-duty sock or canvas bag before striking with a rock hammer to contain flying fragments. For lapidary artists using saws or grinders, always work wet and use a properly fitted respirator (N95 or better) to avoid inhaling silica dust. By purchasing, the buyer assumes all responsibility for the safe handling and processing of these natural materials.
Resolution PolicyPer policy, items cracked open are considered "altered" and are typically ineligible for full returns. However, we want you to be thrilled with your find. In the rare event that a bulk lot contains zero crystals or banding (i.e., they are all plain rock within), please contact us with a photo of the opened material. We will work with you on a replacement, discount, or a full refund of your purchase.
