Offered here is a beautiful and unusual piece of early National Corvette Museum history commemorating the Museum’s official Opening Day on September 2, 1994, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The colorful official Opening Day and Inaugural Year artwork features an early red Corvette, American eagle and flag imagery, the National Corvette Museum, and a portrait of legendary Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov.
The reverse contains extensive historical information about the opening of the National Corvette Museum and identifies Denis Pereira as the artist responsible for the official Opening Day and Inaugural Year artwork. It also identifies Dan Gale, President, National Corvette Museum.

The artwork is incorporated into a substantial clear acrylic display with a distinctive curved center section and thick polished ends, allowing the piece to stand beautifully on its own. The side-profile photograph has been included specifically to show the thickness and three-dimensional construction of the acrylic.
Condition is exceptional. The acrylic remains beautifully clear, and I do not observe any chips, cracks, clouding, scratches, or other damage. The artwork remains bright, colorful and crisp, while the reverse text and markings remain exceptionally clean and legible.
