This is an Original Art Page for Captain America #344, published by Marvel Comics in 1988. This is Pg. 36 from the issue, and is a fantastic example, and one of the best pages from the book. It is also one of the most unique, special, and horrifying Original Art Pages you're ever going to find, as it features Cap in The White House, discovering President Ronald Reagan has been turned into a reptile! Every panel is large, amazing, and iconic. The first panel shows the Star Spangled Sentinel of Liberty approaching the front door of The Oval Office in The White House, and you can see what looks like the portrait of one of the most important Presidents of The United States, Abraham Lincoln, on the wall. The middle panel shows a concerned Cap, with shield in hand, approaching the President. The final panel features the terrifying reveal of the transformed President! If you are a Cap fan or collector, it doesn't get any better than this! The top edge has been clipped during production (common for art from this time period), and there are tape pieces in the margins, but not on the actual artwork. There is also some excellent use of zipatone in the background. The page is signed at the bottom right corner. This is a great piece of Cap artwork from a classic issue by the late great Mark Gruenwald, along with legendary artists Kieron Dwyer and Al Milgrom. A truly outstanding and memorable page.
