Item DescriptionOn offer here is an NOS (New Old Stock) Autolite showroom poster. More accurately, this is called a "window cling". These were produced by Ford Motor Company and intended to be pressed to the windows of Ford showrooms in order to promote various things.
This particular example was produced in 1965 and it advertises the availability of a Lotus Ford Indy Car AMT model car which was available for purchase in the dealership! Ford was busy during this time period waging war at Le Mans against Ferrari, dominating NASCAR, competing heavily in drag racing, and contesting the INDY 500 with Jimmy Clark and Lotus!
Aside from the vibrant colors, this piece features incredible size- measuring an impressive 24 by 39 inches. It is in MINT condition...it was never displayed and I found it brand new in its original Autolite packaging. It was sent to the original Ford dealer folded just as you see it in the pictures... it will be shipped to you in the same manner and VERY well packed.
You will see in the pictures of this sale... another example of this same piece sold for $700+ a few months ago in a Mecum sale. A great bargain here!

In fact, I've had a few complaints over the years because sometimes items I pack are packed well enough that a buyer might become frustrated that the package requires patience in unpacking as I don't skimp on the layers of thick cardboard and copious amounts of high quality tape. The result of that excessive packaging, however, is that items show up to you in the same condition in which the items leave me. My shipping prices, frankly, are a few bucks more than most sellers.
