Here is an original 1956 VINTAGE (I believe made March 9th 1956. The serial number is V53368) men's SCHWINN RACER 3 speed road cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing Black colored factory paint. This is such a classic 1950s look If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!
*This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, (check out the "Magic Hat" seat tube decal) original screen Schwinn hockey stick chainguard, Schwinn "wings" head badge, Schwinn cruiser style seat, unique design Schwinn "AS" seat post clamp, COOL wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn comfort hand grips, full "gothic" raised center fenders, Schwinn reflector pedals, and more! I got this one basically just like you see it.
*The tires are 26x1 3/8". They are vintage slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-5 rims front and rear.
*The bike is an original THREE SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (May need adjustment or possible cable replacement)
*DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 29 1/2” The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 29 1/2". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 20". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust
*NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically just like you see it. I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint! Paint is super cool and I LOVE the fact that it has never been repainted! (has chips scratches etc) I do like the graphics on this one This one has an aftermarket bolt on kickstand and does not have a factory built-in kickstand. The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.
