By June 1945, the site was fully functional as the primary nerve center for evaluating aerial reconnaissance and drafting Pacific invasion landing studies.

“Soon after Manila was recaptured in March 1945, AGS was moved there… We camped around the Santa Ana racecourse.”
The writing on your photograph says that the former grandstand and clubhouse had been partly converted by the Japanese into a paper factory. U.S. forces cleared it, and AGS moved in with ATIS.
