1942 Rare Maker US WWII M1923 Cartridge Belt WW2 Yale Only Known Example For Sale

M1923 cartridge belt made in 1942 by Yale Belt Suspender Co out of New York. Other than this example, I have seen no other surviving cartridge belt made by them. From time to time you will find M1936 pistol belts made in 1942 & 1943 from them. There is no record of a cartridge belt contract from them in "Alphabetical list of major war supply contracts" which means the contract was valued at under $50,000 and thus not recorded. In fact, their 1942 pistol belt contract was valued at only $56,000 and their 1943 contract is also not recorded. This is one of the rarest WWII cartridge belts out there. Liberally, if we were to assume that the contract was for $49,999 and the government bought these for $2 each, that would mean under 25,000 of these were made. The true number is likely lower.
