Vintage 1940s Dreft “Marvelous Suds Discovery” Detergent Box – Procter & Gamble
Fantastic piece of original mid-century advertising and household history! This vintage Dreft detergent box features the iconic turquoise/teal packaging with bold black Dreft graphics and period illustrations.
The back features a wonderful illustrated advertisement reading “These Gentle Suds Make Windows Shine,” along with instructions and advertising for using Dreft on dishes, silks, rayons, woolens, stockings, windows and general housecleaning.
Marked Procter & Gamble – Made in U.S.A. and “A Hymosol Product.” Large size package with a stated net weight of 11 ounces. Period advertising confirms Dreft was being sold with the “Marvelous Suds Discovery” slogan during the late 1940s.
Approximately 8¾” tall x 6¼” wide
Original vintage condition with age-related wear, creasing, edge/corner wear, discoloration and other imperfections to the cardboard packaging. The graphics and turquoise color still display beautifully. Please review all photos closely for condition.
