I'm assuming that this photograph is from 1939 as the numbers are written on the basketball, but I could be wrong. The young boys on the left sitting have shirts on that have the name "TROJANS" on the front. On the back of the cardboard holding the photograph someone wrote in pencil "Junior High Team, 7, 8". I'm assuming that this means the boys are in the 7th and 8th grade of Jr. High. Many small schools that didn't have a lot of students would combine the grades to have enough players. This photograph captures the innocence of a different time and age. This noticeable with the young boy's appearances and expressions.
The photograph is in nice condition but has a small tear near the bottom right corner. At one point moisture got in between the glass and photograph and the picture stuck to the glass. I've included a picture showing the tear in the last photograph to show the tear.
This picture hung in my office for several years and today while cleaning it my wife insisted I get rid of it. She said the photograph was creepy and it reminded her of the young twin girls (ghosts) from the movie "The Shining". I don't see the connection, but oh well.
The photograph measures 5" X 7" and is in an old wood frame with glass. I believe both the photograph and the frame are originals.
