Rare early Painted Desert, Arizona tourist pennant featuring a colorful scene of Hopi Indians overlooking the Painted Desert. Dating approximately to the 1930s–1940s Route 66 tourism era, this small felt pennant is an especially appealing example with its figural Native American imagery and original hanging rod, cord, and decorative tassels.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition with age-related wear and substantial fading to the felt. The reverse retains areas of blue/blue-green coloration, suggesting the pennant was originally considerably more blue in color before fading with age and display. Graphics remain remarkably colorful and well defined. Some wear, discoloration, and aging to the felt, cord, and tassels as shown. Please review all photos carefully.
