Original 1916–1917 Iowa State College Handbook, published by the Young Men’s Christian Association in Ames, Iowa.
A wonderful piece of early Iowa State and Ames history, this small pocket handbook was created for students and contains campus information, college customs and traditions, student organizations, athletic records, physical training information, religious activities, a “Where’s Where at Ames” directory, and period advertisements for local Ames businesses.
The handbook includes a 1916–1917 calendar and features Raymond A. Pearson, President of Iowa State College.
Of particular interest are the period local advertisements, including The Tilden Store / Tilden Mfg. Co. and other Ames businesses.

Condition: Antique pre-owned condition with substantial age-related wear. Cover shows rubbing and edge wear. Interior pages show toning, staining/soiling and wear.
