Original circa 1903–1904 promotional brochure advertising lots in the McKay Tract within the New Town of Harriman, the railroad community that would soon become Sparks, Nevada. The brochure promotes residential and business lots adjacent to the newly constructed Southern Pacific Railroad shops and roundhouse, describing the community as an investment opportunity located just east of Reno.
The interior contains an original subdivision map showing streets, lot layouts, the Southern Pacific Railroad, roundhouse, water tank, Harriman Avenue, Glendale Road, Grant Street, Virginia Street, Lincoln Street, Fraser Avenue, and other early features of the planned town. The brochure advertises lots priced from $150 to $800 and lists S. McKay of Truckee, California, along with Reno and Harriman agents.
