Original January 8, 1887 handwritten letter from S. A. Harris in Savannah, Georgia, to F. Smith at 31 Noonan St., Jacksonville, Florida. Harris writes with frustration over a promised remittance that was never received, asking whether Smith still intends to visit. He notes having previously sent a stamp for a reply but received no response. A great example of 19th-century business or personal correspondence involving financial expectations and travel.
