Original 1887 business billhead from Joske Brothers, Dealers in Dry Goods, Clothing, Boots and Shoes, located on Alamo Street, Opposite Post Office and Losoya Street in San Antonio, Texas (with a New York Office at 670 Broadway). Dated May 11, 1887, and made out to Messrs H. Boehme & Co. of Schulenburg, Tx. Features a prominent \"JB\" star logo and a detailed handwritten note on the bottom explaining a substitution on an order for kid gloves. The itemized ledger details purchases including slippers and kid gloves totaling $4.65. Printed on pale yellow lined paper with standard accounting rules. In vintage used condition with typical folds, handling wear, and light age toning, representing a wonderful piece of early San Antonio merchant history.
