This is a unique historic military insignia/mascot from the 170th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the Illinois Air National Guard. It is made of aluminum with an overlay sticker. It measures 18\" in diameter and likely dates back to the Vietnam War era.This item was sourced from a large collection in Wisconsin, just a few miles from Volk Field in Camp Douglas, WI. From what I understand, it originated from a restaurant called Target Bluff German Haus, which was located close to the base. I have other items from this same restaurant.
