This specimen has been articulated into a complete paw display. At approximately 11 inches in overall length, it makes for an extremely striking display piece and gives an incredible sense of the size and power of these prehistoric animals.
Cave bears (Ursus spelaeus) inhabited Europe during the Pleistocene and disappeared near the end of the last Ice Age roughly 24,000 years ago. Fossil remains are famously recovered from cave deposits throughout Eastern and Central Europe, including Romania.
