Listed and pictured here is a full, complete lot of 20 (plus one bonus What If issue and one “death of Xavier”/AOA transition issue) comics that are the Legion Quest Saga. As an early note, the Legion Quest Saga is the 1994/1995 X-Men related saga that birthed the enormous 1995 event The Age Of Apocalypse. These two connecting sagas are generally recognized as some of the most significant events for the X-Men, for the Marvel Universe, and even for comic books overall.
The saga focuses on the X-Men anti-hero/villain Legion - son of Charles Xavier and Gabrielle Haller. He has become miserable because of how his life has turned out. If there is someone who he blames the most, it’s Magneto, who in 1993, was mostly legendary for waging war against the X-Men with brutal results in many cases (AHEM - the Fatal Attractions Saga). Legion concludes that in order to stop Magneto, he must travel back in time and murder the X-Men arch-villain before he ever publicly manifests his powers. Well, in true Legion fashion, his plans backfire because Xavier jumps in front of Legion’s psychic blade to save Magneto.
Without Xavier there is no Legion! Without Xavier, there are also no forces to stop the rise of a tyrant - THE APOCALYPSE! But Age Of Apocalypse is a whole different comic book lot that’s soon to be listed elsewhere in my store.
The comics featured here are - the main 4 issues, the main prelude and postlude, all comics that feature the “big freeze”, a couple mid-saga tie-in issues, 4 preludes that all tell part of the Legion Quest story, and even the X-Men Archives series that set up the Legion Quest Saga. Oh, and there is also a What If comic book with another alternative Legion Quest ending.
These comics are on average, in high Grade condition, the average being 8.5 (Standard VF+) Condition with a few being slightly higher or lower. Any comics that are below VF will be indicated below. All books are first prints. All applicable cards should be included with their respective comics. As a negative, sometimes that’s what affects the conditions of some of these. LOL
