ITEM DESCRIPTION
Wonder Woman #223, published by DC Comics, featuring the “Amazons Attacked!” storyline during the build-up to Infinite Crisis, hand-signed by acclaimed DC artist Rags Morales and accompanied by a vintage Daggett\'s Comics Certificate of Authenticity documenting the in-person signing.
This January 2006 issue comes from Greg Rucka\'s acclaimed Wonder Woman run and places Diana and the Amazons directly in the escalating events surrounding Infinite Crisis. Paradise Island comes under attack by OMACs, forcing Wonder Woman and her fellow Amazons into a battle with major consequences for Diana\'s future. DC originally released the issue November 30, 2005.
The creative team includes Greg Rucka, Rags Morales, Cliff Richards, Michael Bair, Ray Snyder, colorists Richard and Tanya Horie, and letterer Todd Klein, with a dramatic J.G. Jones cover.
This particular copy is distinguished by a large silver Rags Morales signature directly on the front cover, positioned prominently against the dark left side of the artwork.
Even better, the autograph is accompanied by a Daggett\'s Comics COA dated September 28, 2008, documenting that the comic was personally signed by Rags Morales at Baltimore Comic-Con.

DC\'s official listing confirms Rucka as writer and Morales, Richards, Bair and Snyder among the issue\'s artists.
SIGNED BY RAGS MORALES
This copy has been hand-signed by Rags Morales directly on the front cover.
And this is a good signature.
Morales used a large silver signature, giving it excellent contrast against the dark background of the J.G. Jones artwork. Rather than disappearing into the cover art, the autograph is immediately recognizable as part of the presentation.
Morales has an extensive history with DC Comics, including work on Wonder Woman, Identity Crisis, JSA, Action Comics, Green Lantern and numerous other DC projects. DC\'s own creator profile includes Wonder Woman #223 among his credits.
Most importantly for this particular collectible, Morales actually worked on this issue, giving the signature a direct creator connection to the comic.

Included with the comic is the original Daggett\'s Comics Certificate of Authenticity.

The certificate further states that its signatures were obtained in person and authenticated by the issuer.

That is a particularly cool aspect of this copy. We\'re not dealing with a recently produced generic certificate. The documentation dates back to the actual convention signing nearly two decades ago.
The original COA pictured in the listing is included with the comic.
“AMAZONS ATTACKED!”
Wonder Woman #223 falls directly into DC\'s major Infinite Crisis-era continuity.
Paradise Island is attacked by OMAC forces while Diana is already dealing with the fallout of the events surrounding The OMAC Project. Despite the political and personal consequences facing her, Wonder Woman returns to aid the Amazons.
DC\'s synopsis describes the Amazons facing a decision during the attack that would alter Diana\'s life and mission going forward.
The story itself is titled “Marathon, Part One.”
For collectors building Infinite Crisis, OMAC Project, Greg Rucka Wonder Woman or early-2000s DC runs, #223 is firmly connected to that larger period rather than functioning as an isolated standalone issue.
J.G. JONES COVER
The cover artwork is by J.G. Jones and depicts Wonder Woman and the Amazons preparing for battle beneath the dramatic “AMAZONS ATTACKED!” headline.
DC-era artwork from this period has a distinctive painted realism, and the darker left side of this particular cover also provided an excellent location for Morales\' silver autograph.
The signature is large enough to be immediately visible without obscuring Wonder Woman herself.

This is a very attractive copy for a nearly 20-year-old comic that has also traveled through a convention signing.
The front cover retains strong gloss and color, with the dark black and red/orange background presenting particularly well. Corners and edges appear clean overall, and the silver Rags Morales signature remains bold and highly visible.
As with any raw comic, minor manufacturing or handling imperfections may be present.
