This is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage United States Navy fleet submarine shipyard model. Measuring approximately 11 inches in length, this model is a solid, heavy bronze casting featuring the iconic streamlined hull, conning tower, and integrated oval pedestal base typical of mid-20th-century presentation models.
These models were traditionally cast by or for the historic Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) to commemorate submarine launchings, commissionings, or as elite presentation gifts for naval personnel and shipyard workers.
