Up for sale is an original WWII Japanese Type 94 Nambu leather holster for the 8mm Nambu pistol. The holster retains its original brown leather construction with the correct integral magazine pouch and belt loop. It has developed an attractive aged patina from decades of careful preservation.
Family Provenance: According to our family’s history, this holster was brought home from the Battle of Iwo Jima by my grandfather, G.G. Sweet, USMC. It remained on display for many years at the G.G. Sweet Memorial Park before recently being passed down through the family. While this history cannot be independently documented, it has remained with the holster throughout our family’s ownership.
I have found no visible maker or arsenal markings on the holster after inspection.
