Up for sale is a beautiful, fully tested, and 100% functional vintage late-1950s Smith-Corona Skyriter portable typewriter with its original metal integrated case lid, original instruction manual, and original vintage cleaning/eraser accessories.
Unlike many Skyriters on the market that require deep servicing, stuck-key restoration, or mechanical repairs, this machine has been thoroughly bench-tested and is ready to type right out of the box.

Mechanical & Functionality: Wonderful working condition across the board. Every single key strikes smoothly and returns without sticking. The carriage moves freely, platen rollers turn smoothly without degradation, margin stops function as intended, and space bar/line spacing operate flawlessly.
Typing Test / Ribbon: Includes an active typing test ribbon capable of typing clear, crisp text as shown in the photos. While serious writers may eventually prefer a fresh ribbon, the current ribbon works great out of the box for immediate use.
Cosmetic Condition: Very clean overall. Metal body and crinkle grey/green finish show only light, typical surface edge scuffs consistent with normal case lid fitment over the decades. No heavy rust, major dents, or structural damage.
