Up for sale is a vintage pinback button for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps of Casper, Wyoming. The button features a hand-drawn style illustration of two mounted cavalry troopers carrying a guidon flag, with crossed cavalry sabers and the number \"11\" above them, and \"TROOPERS\" arched over the top with \"CASPER, WYOMING\" curved along the bottom in bold blue lettering on a cream background. The \"11\" and crossed-saber emblem reference the corps\' namesake, the 11th Ohio Cavalry Regiment once stationed at Fort Caspar in Wyoming Territory — the historical tie that inspired founder Jim Jones to name the corps \"The Troopers\" when he formed it in 1957.

The Troopers went on to become one of the thirteen founding member corps of Drum Corps International and remain an active, celebrated World Class competitive corps to this day, making this an appealing piece for collectors of drum corps memorabilia, Wyoming history, or vintage advertising pins. The button retains a working pin-back fastener on the reverse, with the maker\'s mark reading \"MFG. BY WINCRAFT - WINONA, MINNESOTA\" stamped around the edge of the back plate.

• Condition: Used vintage condition. The front graphic is bright and fully legible with light overall toning and speckled foxing concentrated near the rim, consistent with age. There is a faint hairline scratch/crease visible on the printed surface near the \"CASPER\" text. The metal back plate shows scattered surface rust spotting, and the pin mechanism is intact, present, and functions normally for fastening. No major dents, deep scratches, or splits in the coating were found, but with an item this small and detailed, minor surface flaws are easy to miss.
