The black textured case is gold stamped “K&E Doric Jupiter 9408B,” and multiple instruments are marked “K&E Co. Germany.”
This is a quality German-made technical drawing set intended for drafting, engineering, architectural and precision drawing work. The fitted case contains an assortment of compasses/dividers, drawing and ruling instruments, extension/accessory pieces, interchangeable points and other drafting accessories. A metal accessory capsule containing additional points and components is also included.
The set appears to date from approximately the late 1950s to early 1960s era based on the Doric Jupiter model series and flap-style fitted case.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition. The instruments show varying amounts of age-related surface wear, oxidation/tarnish and discoloration. The blue velvet lining has accumulated dust/lint and shows age and storage wear. The exterior case has wear along the edges and corners. No attempt has been made to aggressively polish or restore the instruments.
