Vintage Hopi-Tewa Pottery Seed Pot by the late master Potter Rachel Sahmie, 3 1/2" in Diameter.
This beautiful,hand-made potteryseed pot was made by deceased master potter Rachel Sahmie of First Mesa and great-great granddaughter of Nampeyo.Itmeasures approximately3 1/2" indiameter x 2 1/2" high with a 1 3/4" opening and is in near fine condition. It is signed with Rachel's distinctive "B" on the bottom. The photos are of the actual item and not stock photos. Rachel died in 2022.
We purchased this item from an elderly couple who were moving from a large house to a senior apartment and didn't have room for their Indian art collection. They were active collectors especially during the 1970's and 80's and were good friends and customers of Rachel.
