Ten handwritten ledger sheets from a New Orleans household's accounts, dated between 1980 and 1987. Cream stock ruled in soft green grid, filled column by column in blue and black ink — dates, payees, amounts and running balances kept by hand for the better part of a decade. The entries read like a portrait of the city in the eighties: New Orleans Public Service, South Central Bell, Gus Mayer, Carrollton Homestead, Whitney.
Sheets are hole-punched along one edge from their original binder, which junk journalers often use as-is for ring-bound work.
