Vintage “Grace” by Eric Enstrom – Framed Textured Artwork
A beautiful and wonderfully nostalgic vintage example of “Grace” by Eric Enstrom, one of the most recognizable images of American religious art.
The iconic image depicts an elderly man bowing his head in prayer over a simple meal of bread and a bowl of food. Photographer Eric Enstrom created the original photograph in 1918 in Bovey, Minnesota. The image became widely reproduced and beloved for its simple message of gratitude and faith.

Vintage condition with visible signs of age and wear.
The artwork has age-related discoloration, spotting, surface wear, and areas of loss to the textured image surface. There are also some small marks and imperfections throughout.
The wooden frame has scratches, finish wear and other imperfections consistent with age.
The original paper backing is particularly aged and has tears, losses, and areas of deterioration around the edges, as shown in the photographs.
There is also an area of surface loss where some of the image/coating has rubbed away. Please see the close-up photographs for details.
I have left this piece in its original vintage condition rather than attempting restoration.
Please handle gently. Due to the delicate aged surface, I recommend avoiding water or cleaning products on the artwork.
