These areround-core Hi-Density graphite pencils.Made in the USA and marked "WOODCLINCHED 4B."
Microtomic Van Dyke pencils were professional-quality drawing pencils made for artists, draftsmen, illustrators and other technical and graphic work. Eberhard Faber promoted its Hi-Density graphite for smooth, uniform lines and strong reproduction qualities.
The pencils are marked “WOODCLINCHED,” Eberhard Faber's trademarked method of securely bonding the graphite core within the wooden casing.
The WOODCLINCHED marking was first used by Eberhard Faber in 1940, and the packaging and markings on this box appear consistent with circa 1940s production.
CONDITION: New Old Stock. Vintage condition with minor age/storage wear.
