Vintage Dundee windproof pocket lighter with a vertically ribbed silver/chrome case and original Dundee Cigarette Lighters box. The removable insert is marked Berkeley Industries, Jersey City, N.J., Made in U.S.A. It has a perforated chimney, flint wheel and wick, with separate bottom screws marked for filling and flint access. The ribbed faces show scratches, rubbed patches and spotting; the insert is mottled and discolored, and the wick is darkened and frayed. The red-striped box shows staining and worn edges. This is the photographed ribbed Dundee with its Berkeley-marked insert, not an asserted numbered model. Operation and fuel content are unverified.
