This beautiful carved jade piece was personally purchased by our family at a jade factory in Beijing, China during our trip to China.
At the factory, it was presented to us as "The Family." We were told that the three nested layers represent three generations within a family:
• Outer layer: Father
• Middle layer: Mother
• Inner layer: Child
The piece was carved so that the layers are nested within one another, creating an intricate openwork sculpture from a single piece of stone.
We personally purchased this piece at the jade factory and have kept it in our family since returning from China.
The jade has natural variations in color, including pale/whitish areas visible throughout the carving. No professional gemological testing has been performed, so we are not representing a specific jade variety or grade.
There are small areas of surface wear, natural-looking inclusions and minor imperfections visible in the photographs. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
