Authentic Cold War-era artifacts from a U.S. Navy fleet wardroom or officer mess hall. The sugar bowl was produced by Mayer China in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. The mugs were produced in New Castle, PA by Shenango China.
This style of military china was traditionally produced for use in senior officers' messes, captain's cabins, and wardrooms aboard naval ships.
Includes four coffee mugs and one sugar bowl, 5 pieces total. No chips but one mug and the sugar bowl both have hairline cracks as shown in the photos. All are stamped one the front with the Department of the Navy gold emblem of the eagle and anchor with gold gilt accents which are in excellent condition with minimal scratching. and no fading.
