Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible authentic vintage Russian lacquer miniature box originating from the renowned art village of Kholuy.
Exquisitely detailed, the lid features a stunning hand-painted presentation of the classic Russian folk fairy tale, "The Frog Princess" (Царевна-лягушка). The artwork vividly illustrates Prince Ivan discovering his arrow held by the enchanted frog against a classic glowing sunset landscape.
The lower edge of the lid is hand-signed in gold filigree by the master artisan:
