Vintage 1950s USN G-1 Leather Flight Jacket USS Shangri-La Patches Size 40
Authentic 1950s US Navy G-1 intermediate leather flight jacket made by Werber Sportswear, Inc. under specification MIL-J-7823 (AER). Features original embroidered patches including the USS Shangri-La CVA-38 sleeve patch, 7th Fleet 1956 deployment patch, front submarine/hand squadron patch, and a leather name tag for ATWELL P.C. BMC USN. Includes sheepskin mouton collar, USN stencil under the collar, front flap pockets, and front zipper closure.
The USS Shangri-La (CVA-38) served during World War II, earning two battle stars, and later saw action in the Vietnam War. This jacket dates to its Cold War 7th Fleet deployment to the Western Pacific in 1956, bridging the era between the Korean and Vietnam wars.
