This is a Viet Cong foot spike captured west of Chon Thanh in 1966. This bad boy is mounted in a piece of Vietnamese hardwood measuring 6 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide with a hand forged extremely sharp barbed spike 7 inches high. This type of anti personnel booby trap was commonly used by the Viet Cong forces throughout South Vietnam in the 1960's.
