This item is a vintage Carl Falkenstein-attributed Hollywood Regency \"Bubble\" or \"Melon\" Pink Glass lamp with blue and pink painted flowers. This gorgeous, big beauty is a table lamp from the 1960s-70s era, featuring an ornate \"Hollywood Regency\" style design. It is quite large: approximately 12 inches wide and 18 inches tall to the top of the bulb socket. Crafted with brass and glass materials, this lamp is a collectible piece with a corded power source and a 3-way switch with settings for reading light, night light or both reading and night light! It has such a lovely glow--see pictures with the night light bulb (which I will be include in the package) and a low-wattage LED (looks good for the photos, but I would recommend a brighter light bulb for reading, etc.) There is no shade, so you can personalize the look. This lamp is clean and ready for use--it came to me a bit dirty and tarnished, but I cleaned the glass and polished the brass as best I could. I think it looks pretty fabulous now! (See condition notes below). One nice thing about this glass lamp -- the pink color is not \"flashed\" or an added outer coating, but the glass itself is pink. So you can keep it clean without fear of the pink color chipping away. With its very feminine style, pink color, large size and Hollywood Regency appeal, this lamp is a stunning addition to any vintage or cottage style decor collection!
Condition: Good used vintage condition with some signs of age. Glass has no chips, cracks, or repairs. I did not detect any flea bites or notable scratches. There may be some minor scratches consistent with age/use. The lamp functions as intended with a 3 way switch for using the standard size lightbulb (reading light), a nightlight, and both the nightlight and reading light. There was some tarnish on the brass, although it shined up pretty well with Brasso (please see detail pics). The outer glass was cleaned, and the printed flower details are in good shape. The inside of the glass appears to have a slight film. This is not very noticeable unless up close, but could be cleaned if desired by unscrewing the electrical components to access the glass globe. I am uncertain if all metal/electric parts are original; likely not, especially the harp. The inner night light tube looks to have been secured with a clear soda top, a repair I have seen on similar lamps.***I try to note all major condition issues; however, the item is vintage/used, so please refer to photos and zoom in to see more detail regarding condition.
