VTG 1950s Goetz COUNTRY CLUB Pilsener Beer Lighted Lucite Hanging Sign 22.5" For Sale

HTF Vintage Goetz Country Club Pilsener Beer hanging lighted advertising sign, dating to approximately the late 1940s to early 1950s. Manufactured by Price Bros., a well-known maker of period beer and tavern advertising.

Measures approximately 22.5" wide × 16.5" tall. This is a much more unusual style than the standard framed or glass Goetz signs, featuring a clear Lucite/acrylic advertising panel suspended beneath the original metal light housing. The upper red panel reads “THE Bright BEER,” while the large clear lower panel carries the classic Goetz Country Club Pilsener Beer graphics.

The real appeal of this sign is when it is illuminated. The lighting gives the lettering and edges of the clear panel a strong green glow, creating a very impressive display effect that is difficult to appreciate fully in an unlit photo. It has the kind of presence that works equally well in a serious breweriana collection, vintage bar, game room, brewery display, or advertising collection.

This is a hard-to-find Goetz advertising piece, especially in this larger hanging Lucite/acrylic format. The combination of the sculpted metal housing, illuminated top panel, clear hanging advertising panel, and period Goetz graphics makes it a much more substantial display than the more commonly encountered smaller countertop or wall-mounted signs.

Condition is very good overall for its age. The clear panel has surface scratches from normal use and storage, along with a small amount of paint loss. The metal housing shows typical age-related wear as well. Despite that, the sign presents extremely well and looks amazing when lit. Please review all photos closely for condition and details.

A strong early Goetz display piece with great size, color, and visual impact, and one that does not turn up often in this configuration.
