Ultra Rare (only a few ever made) 1960/61 Senator Edward (Ted) Kennedy Political Pinback Button N.O.S.
This one is rare as hens teeth! It is the very earliest, first political button featuring E. Kennedy's portrait.It was made in a very limited amount just before Kennedy was gearing up to run for office back in 1960 / 1961.
Made by VAN'S ADVERTISING Co., Fair Lawn, NJ., basically this was a feeler prototype & it was they were never distributed to the public. Only a few employees of the VAN'S company received one & the early Kennedy team also, but that's all.
I was told that the first run of these were not done with Union labor but that changed right away, but production stopped & they went on to a new design.
