Handsome writer gentwith gold accents in this rare, early 1/6th plate (2.75 x 3.25")daguerreotype housed in a desirable honey comb brass mat. He resides in a complete leather case with a split hinge and a pink silk pillow. Inside case is printed "FROM WM. SHEW'S MINIATURE CASE FACTORY, Corner of Court and Howard Sts. BOSTON". Professionally resealed with P-90 archival tape and new glass.
