Sonic theHedgehog, born June 23, is the main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehogseries and Sega's mascot. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog; as his namesakesuggests, he was born with the ability to run faster than the speed of sound.Sonic can also roll up into a concussive ball to attack enemies, a variation onhis species' real-world defence mechanism. With the first Sonic game releasedin 1991, there's no sign of the world's most famous Hedgehog slowing downanytime soon.

Console Heroes:Sonic the Hedgehog 3 brings the fun and colour of Carnival Night Zone to lifein a detailed collectible diorama.

This officiallylicensed set features a mini scene built into a plastic Sega Mega Drive gamecartridge that folds open to reveal a moulded world inspired by the classiclevel. It includes two 1.5-inch mini-figures of Sonic and Knuckles, each withpeggable bases for easy placement around the scene. The diorama featuressculpted elements like spikes, a gold ring, and a red balloon centrepiece, alongwith a printed Carnival Night Zone backdrop. The cartridge closes shut when noton display, though the figures are designed for external display and do notstore inside.
