An exceptionally scarce vintage high-fire studio stoneware wall clock handcrafted by master ceramicist Ken Edwards in Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico. Authentic vintage working clocks from Edwards' studio in this 7-inch size are very difficult to find on the secondary market.
The hand-painted plate face features a classic Ken Edwards nature scene with two opposing blue songbirds nestled in foliage beneath a soaring butterfly, feather plumes, and Roman numeral hour markers on a speckled oatmeal ground.
The reverse bears the authentic Ken Edwards circled “KE” hallmark, "Mexico," and individual studio artisan monogram, along with an integral pierced ceramic hanging loop.
Powered by a battery-operated quartz movement (requires 1 standard AA battery) featuring black hands with a red second hand. Fully tested, running smoothly, and keeping accurate time.
