Rare original photo - I believe it's a bromide silver print - showing the Maryland sculptorEdward Berge next to his sculpture, The Armistead Monument, thebronze statue of Colonel George Armistead, which is located at Fort McHenry, Baltimore. It was dedicated on September 12, 1914. Along with the photo is a letter written by an Armistead descendant (related through the Whiting / Butler family line). Photograph is unsigned. The size of the photograph is 7 3/4" x 5", the mounts slightly larger. Some minor condition issues including a small tear, shown and light crinkles. Most of the crinkles are on the gray mounting paper. Boxed shipping.
