🕊️ About Saint Marina:

Born in Antioch (modern-day Turkey) to a pagan priest, Saint Marina converted to Christianity as a child and was disowned by her father. During Emperor Diocletian’s persecution (284–305 AD), she was arrested at the age of 15 and subjected to brutal tortures for refusing to renounce her faith.

One of the most dramatic episodes of her martyrdom involved a direct battle with the devil, who appeared to her in demonic form. Through prayer and the sign of the cross, she struck the demon with a hammer — a symbolic act of her divine strength and spiritual victory.

She was eventually martyred by beheading, and her relics are venerated to this day in Mount Athos and Italy.
