Offered for sale is a great example of a Type 3 Legion of Honor Knight suspended on a late 19th century period-original ribbon.
The body is constructed of 800/1000 silver and the obverse and reverse medallions are 18K gold.
A rare piece circa 1810 in collector's-grade condition. Never monkeyed-with like many other examples from this period!
