Thisis an ORIGINAL UNISSUED EARLY VIETNAM ERA INTRENCHING TOOL COVER M-56 DATED 62. TheIntrenching Tool Cover is used for carrying the army folding shovel. It is madeof heavy OD canvas. The front is stamped with U.S., Has a snap for securing thetop flap closed. Also there are 2 grommets and a strap with a snap for carryinga bayonet, etc. On the back there are 2 belt clips for attaching to a pistolbelt, etc. Also on the back it is stamped with the following identification :CARRIER, INTRENCHING TOOL, CD & W, OD-M-56, DA-36-243-QM (CTM), 11723-E-62,FSN-8, 04. The Intrenching Tool Cover M-56 Dated 62 is in near new conditiondo to long term storage.
