RFI MODULAR SLEEP SYSTEM – 5 PARTThe RFI Modular Sleep System sleeping bags and other components are constructed to be used in conjunction with each other or separately to complete an interoperable system known as the extreme cold weather sleeping bag.
The RFI sleep system is designed to provide comfort in temperatures ranging from 50°F to -50°F when wearing various layers of extreme cold weather clothing.

The Patrol bag isdesigned for use in temperate climates ranging from30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit

The Intermediate bag isdesigned for use in cold climates ranging from‐10 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit

When combined, along with theBivy Coveras outermost layer, the system designed for climates to minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit when the user is wearing the lightweight undershirt and drawers or mid‐weight shirt and drawers and standard cushion sole socks, to minus 30 degrees Fahrenheit when the user is also wearing fleece jacket and soft shell or loft trousers, and to minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit when the user is also wearing additional layers of the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS).

The Improved Modular Sleep System (IMSS) Patrol Sleeping Bag is the perfect sleeping bag for scouting, camping, or just being prepared. Thislightweight, durable, mummy style sleeping bag is ideal for mild to cold weather. The Patrol Sleeping Bag is designed to fit inside of the Intermediate Bag,with the Intermediate fitting inside of the Bivy (other parts sold separately). The bags snap together making a system that will keep you warm when the temperature drops below -10°F. ThePatrolBag alone is lightweight bag and excellent for use during mildweather.

The durable rip-stop nylon shell and continuous filament polyester insulation is constructed to withstand the rigors of combat. The mummy design helps keep you warm and the generous "boot box" at the bottom is designed to allow the user to keep his or her boots on, either for added warmth or in case a quick exit is needed. Durable YKK zippers are used on either end of the bag allowing wearers to customize the amount of ventilation. Zippers are dual sided and can be easily accessed from the inside.

• Many surplus items labeled "brand new/unissued" may not be shipped with original packaging. This does not mean the item has been used or that it is not genuine U.S. military issue. This may happen because the military often buys items in bulk and 100 of the same item may have been sealed in a single package.

• Genuine U.S. military surplus items may have slight variations by contract (each order the military made); these variations are not considered deficiencies.

• Be advised that it may be against the law to export certain military items outside the United States. Therefore all items will be offered to U.S. addresses only.
