For your consideration, we are pleased to offer for sale this Circa 2013 Levenger LS3 Series Fountain Pen in the desirable and highly attractive Yellow finish with polished chrome trim, fitted with a smooth German-made Medium steel nib. This fountain pen remains Mint, New Old Stock, and never inked, complete in the original presentation boxes with Levenger literature, ink converter, and ink cartridge.
Produced during Levenger’s modern writing instrument revival period, the LS3 series blended contemporary industrial styling with the practicality of an everyday fountain pen. The Yellow LS3 is one of the more visually striking color variations from the series and has become increasingly difficult to locate today, particularly in untouched, never inked condition.
The design features a brushed steel cap and barrel accented by polished chrome trim and bold yellow ribbed detailing throughout the pen. Six total raised yellow bands add depth and visual structure to the barrel, while the yellow finial and matching clip accent provide a sharp contrast against the brushed metal finish. The overall appearance feels distinctly modern while still maintaining the solid construction and balance fountain pen enthusiasts appreciate.
Condition is exceptional throughout. The pen shows absolutely no signs of use or previous inking, with no chips, cracks, dents, dings, scratches, or repairs. The threaded cap secures tightly to the barrel as intended, and the barrel is also threaded for secure posting. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel.
The polished chrome cap band is crisply engraved “LEVENGER,” and the trim remains bright and clean throughout. This LS3 measures 5 1/8" inches capped, 6 1/2" inches posted, and weighs a substantial 1.65 ounces, giving the pen a wonderfully solid feel in hand.
The fountain pen utilizes a cartridge/converter filling system and includes both the original converter, with approximately 1.04ml ink capacity, and an ink cartridge.
Fitted to the pen is a smooth German-made Medium steel nib measuring approximately 0.68mm when measured with digital calipers. Levenger’s LS-series nibs are well regarded for their dependable performance and comfortable everyday writing characteristics.
As disposable pens came to dominate the writing world in the late twentieth century, Levenger sought to reintroduce thoughtfully designed fountain pens intended for modern daily use. The LS3 series reflects that philosophy perfectly—substantial, functional, and visually distinctive without sacrificing practicality.
This Levenger LS3 Yellow Fountain Pen remains a beautiful New Old Stock example and would make an outstanding addition to any modern fountain pen collection or daily writing rotation.
