Authentic vintage McDonald’s employee hostess jacket featuring rare Speedee patches on both sleeves. Manufactured by Ottenheimer & Co., Inc. of Chicago, as shown on the original tag, which also notes “Sanforized.” Made from heavyweight red cotton twill with red topstitching and a distinctive western-inspired design.
This jacket has an exceptionally unique cut and construction. The back features three tailored seams: one center seam with two curved seams forming a pointed design. The front panels extend longer than the back and taper into points on each side, giving the jacket a very distinctive silhouette. The jacket was originally designed without buttons and instead features two cleanly finished pass-through link holes at the natural waistline. The original connecting chain or link piece is no longer present.
Marked size Large.
Each cuff features three adjustable Gripper snaps for fit variation.
Shown modeled on a young man who is 6’ tall and 170 lbs; the jacket fits him very well.
This original vintage McDonald’s employee jacket was acquired by me in 1972 and was already gently used at that time. It has never been washed and has been meticulously preserved for over 50 years in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment. The condition is truly exceptional. The deep crimson red color remains vibrant with no fading, and the heavyweight cotton twill retains its crisp, structured feel.

* One very slight stain on the inside facing near the Ottenheimer tag; not visible when worn
* Some light dirt on the elbow area on both sleeves. Hardly noticeable because the red color is very bright. See pictures
* No fading, tears, or structural issues observed
